Officers investigating a collision in Crewe are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch with them.
At around 3.30pm on Monday 18 March, police were called to reports of a collision on Bedford Street, near to the junction with Barker Street.
The incident involved a black vehicle and a three-year-old boy. The boy suffered a serious foot injury and was taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.
The driver of the car stopped briefly, before leaving the scene without providing their details. The driver has been described by witnesses as an Asian or black man, and the vehicle he was driving may have been a taxi.
Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident took place, however attempts to trace the vehicle and driver have not been successful.
PC Ian Cosgrove said:
“We are urging anyone who witnessed what happened or has any dashcam or CCTV footage which may aid our investigation to get in touch with us.
“We appreciate this incident happened more than a month ago and enquiries have been ongoing since, however we would ask anyone who was in the area at the time to think back about anything they may have seen.”
