A bicycle stolen during a robbery in Crewe has been returned to its rightful owner thanks to information given to the police from the public.
The black Carrera Vengeance mountain bike was stolen from a 14-year-old boy on Monday 21 January during a robbery on a footpath off Macon Way.
Following an appeal to local residents, the stolen bike has since been located and returned to the victim after being dumped in a garden in Crewe.
Enquiries to locate the four teenagers involved in the robbery remain ongoing.
Detective Constable Liz Rankin said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to the local community for all the support and information we have received in relation to the incident so far.
“The information we have received has enabled us to reunite the victim with his bike.
“While the bike has been recovered, we remain committed to doing all that we can to trace those involved in the robbery and I urge anyone with any information which may assist our investigation to contact the team here at Crewe on 101.“
