Detectives investigating a burglary at the home of a pensioner in Bollington have charged a man in relation to the incident.
On Saturday 14th March, police were called to reports of a break in at an address on Cedarway.
The victim reported that an unknown person had burgled her home and stolen her purse and bank cards.
The caller also reported that a number of cash withdrawals had been made.
Following enquiries, detectives from Macclesfield Proactive CID arrested a 48-year-old man from Macclesfield in relation to the incident.
Jonathan Martin, of Hurdsfield Road in Macclesfield, has since been charged with one count of burglary, two counts of fraud by false representation, one count of attempt to commit fraud by false representation and one count of driving without insurance.
Martin has been remanded in custody and will appear at Chester Magistrates Court later today, Friday 20th March.
