A man who was arrested by the Cheshire Police Sex Offender Management Unit following a warrant in Northwich has now been charged.
Derek Sefton was arrested at around 7am on Friday 4th September, after officers executed a warrant at his home on Vicarage Road in Northwich.
Following questioning, the 66-year-old, was charged with:
- Three counts of making an indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child
- Three counts of distributing an indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child
- Possess a prohibited image of a child
- Sex offenders register - fail comply with notification requirements - SOA 2003
- Five counts of breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order Breach (SHPO) / interim SHPO
Sefton appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Saturday 5th September where he was remanded in custody; he is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 19th October.
