A Middlewich boutique is turning fashion into support this summer, as it hosts a charity fashion show for the North West Air Ambulance Charity.
Owned by Jo Adams, Cabin Boutique, has been a popular fixture at Hopley House for nearly nine years, offering ladies fashion, accessories, and fragrances in a friendly and welcoming setting.
Each year, Jo hosts a fashion show to benefit a chosen cause, but this year’s event, taking place on the 28th of August, carries extra meaning.
Inspired by a touching story shared by customer Suzie Hoyle, about her late husband and the lifesaving role of NWAA, Jo felt compelled to dedicate not just one, but at least two years of support to the charity.
So far this year, they’ve managed to raise over £1,000.
Jo said:
“It’s an amazing cause, they’re not government funded, and you never know when you might need them yourself.
“We've done a fashion show every year, and we've chosen a different charity each year. We've received a great deal of support from the local community, primarily from the site, the other retailers on the site, and the owner of Hopley House.
“Other businesses have supported us, including Hollingshead Jewellers in Winsford, Cakes by Kaz (Carol Butler), the Bears Paw, a local beautician, Fords of Winsford, and the Three Greyhounds. The Craft Cabin hosts the fashion show for us in their large unit and works hard to accommodate seating.”
The boutique has already raised £155 in August through a pre-show raffle, and excitement is building for the main event, which will be hosted by The Craft Cabin.
On Thursday 28th of August, guests will be welcomed with a glass of bubbly and nibbles, before enjoying a lively showcase of the latest styles. The on-site café will also serve up barbecue treats and tasters, staying open late to join in the festivities.
Jo said:
“This time, if we get good weather, we would love nothing more than to have it in the car park and have an open-air show. So, depending on the weather, it could be in the car park; if not, it will be back with the very loyal Craft Cabin.
“The girls who model are totally empowered by the evening. At first, they were nervous, but now they’re amazing. We always get fantastic feedback; it’s just a fun evening.”
Entry to the fashion show is free, with guests encouraged to support NWAA by purchasing raffle tickets. Shoppers on the night will also receive goodie bags valued between £10 and £15.
Jo added:
“The community has been incredible. Especially the team here at Hopley House. It feels fantastic to raise money for such a vital cause. The more we do, the better.”
