Cakes and biscuits made by carers from the Wilmslow home care provider have raised £100 for Alzheimer’s Society.
Local carers from the team at Carefound Home Care took the time to bake and donate a range of cakes and biscuits for their stall in Wilmslow.
The treats were soon snapped up by local Wilmslow residents with £100 raised for the specialist dementia charity, Alzheimer’s Society.
Kellie Swindells, Recruitment & Community Manager at Carefound Home Care, said:
“I want to say a great big thank you to all that helped or donated to our recent cake stall in Wilmslow. The event was a great success and we were delighted to be able to raise money for Alzheimer’s Society.”
“We had some amazing cakes and biscuits to offer the generous residents of Wilmslow and it was lovely to meet and talk to so many local people, many of whom have been affected by dementia in some way.”
Local community fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Society, Nicki Nalton, said:
“We’d like to say a big thank you to the Carefound Home Care Wilmslow team for their very generous donation.”
"The coronavirus pandemic has been devastating for families in Greater Manchester and across the UK.”
"People affected by dementia need us now more than ever, but the pandemic has hit us hard financially, despite an unprecedented demand for our services.”
“The money raised by the cake stall will help Alzheimer’s Society reach and support more people through our vital services, like our Dementia Connect support line, which has been used over six million times in the UK since March 2020.”
Carefound Home Care are currently recruiting care assistants in the Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Cheadle, Knutsford and Macclesfield areas and live-in carers across Cheshire.
