Officers investigating reports of a rape in Macclesfield have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
A woman reported the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday 6 July at an address in the Tytherington area, following a night out in Macclesfield town centre.
The incident is believed to have taken place at some time between 4am and 7am.
Detectives investigating what happened have now released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
DC Charlotte Dutton said:
“Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident was reported and we have now released an image of a man we would like to speak to as we believe he may hold vital information.
“If you believe you know the identity of this man, please contact us.
“We would like to also appeal directly to the man pictured to get in touch."
