Officers investigating multiple reports of shoplifting from a convenience store in Macclesfield have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
Over the past month officers have received at least three reports of shoplifting involving the same man at the Co-op Store on West Park Drive, Gawsworth.
During the incidents a number of items have been stolen, mainly high value bottles of alcohol.
Enquiries have been ongoing and officers have now released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to these incidents.
PCSO Melissa Mellor, of Macclesfield LPU, said:
“This investigation relates to the theft of approximately £2,000 worth of goods from a convenience store in Macclesfield and we are committed to doing all we can to identify the person responsible.
“As part of our investigation we’re keen to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image as we think he may hold vital information.
“If anyone recognises this man, please contact us via:
http://www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us
... or call 101, quoting IML 1691116.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to come forward.”
