Here is an update of what is going on at East Cheshire Hospice.
What's Been Happening:
On 2nd of December, Macclesfield United Reform Church hosted the Hospice for our annual Light Up a Life event. A special service where you can take a moment to remember your loved one. Thank you to Penttengall Wealth Management for supplying mulled wine and mince pies for our attendees and making it a very special evening.
As we start 2024, East Cheshire Hospice gears up for one of our biggest fundraising events of the year. Our Annual Christmas Tree Collection! On January 13th and 14th, over 200 volunteers will be out in force collection trees in exchange for donations. This event raises thousands of pounds every year and generates a huge amount of awareness. Thank you to all our supporters and sponsors so far, your contributions have made this possible.
Hospice Updates:
The Sunflower Centre refurbishment is on schedule, and we will reopen in late January. This work will breathe new life into our day centre and create a welcoming, open environment for our patients.
We are currently preparing to launch our Knutsford Home First initiative. One of the areas where people struggle to access home care at the end of their life is Knutsford, which is hard for care organisations to access. Knutsford Home First aims to drastically increase the number of patients we can provide care to.
How To Get Involved:
Some businesses have become sponsors for our annual Christmas Tree Collection already. But there is still space if you would like to get involved in one of our largest fundraising events of the year. The Christmas tree collection raises a massive amount of money for the Hospice and some great publicity for our Van Sponsors. I Van costs just £250 to sponsor for the weekend. If you are interested, please get in contact.
We are now looking for people to take on Born Survivor.
