Knutsford Mayor Cllr Peter Coan kickstarts his fundraising for the Mayoral term, with a family BBQ on Friday 21st July at the Knutsford Council offices.
This year’s Mayor’s charities will be continued support to develop a Knutsford Men’s Shed, a community space for men to connect, converse and create alongside Knutsford GROW, which brings together two groups of people for mutual benefit; providing gardening services for people not able to tend their own gardens and providing opportunities for volunteers to deliver a community service.
The Mayor’s BBQ has become an annual event with lawn games for entertainment, a bar with local beer and a prize raffle helping raise more funds on the night. The BBQ kicks off at 6:30pm and closes down at 9:30pm.
The Mayor is keen to welcome as many people as possible to this event, saying “This is the first fundraising event of my year as Town Mayor and I am looking forward to getting off to a fantastic start with a feel good community event that caters for all”
Tickets for the event are just £12 (adults) or £6 (children) and include food.
