Local solicitors Hall Smith Whittingham have announced they will be sponsoring Mid Cheshire Hospitals Charity’s new ‘Young Fundraisers’ scheme.
The initiative has been designed to encourage more youngsters to raise money to support local NHS services operated by Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The charity team recognised that throughout lockdown lots of local children used their time at home to create fun ways to fundraise and wanted to encourage more children to get involved by offering rewards for their efforts.
Young fundraisers are able to work towards Bronze, Silver and Gold trophies to share with their family, school or nursery and all ages can get involved from Tiny (0-5), Junior (5-11), through to Teen (11-16).
Emma Appleyard, Partner, Head of Dispute Resolution at HSW said: ‘At Hall Smith Whittingham Solicitors we take great pleasure in getting involved with local charities which have such an impact in our local community. In this uncertain time it is our opportunity to give back and to support the local community.’
Carole Salmon, MCH Community Fundraiser said: ‘We especially love the drive and enthusiasm of our young fundraisers and this is a perfect way to celebrate their achievements. They are so many ways to fundraise that are COVID secure. They can make and sell items, do a fitness challenge or something else of their own choosing.’
To find out more about the scheme parents, carers and schools are asked to contact Carole Salmon, MCH Charity Community Fundraiser on 07467 687998 or email carole.salmon@mcht.nhs.uk or visit MCH Charity social media pages on Facebook and Twitter @mchcharity
MCH Charity
MCH Charity is a registered charity that manages all money raised for, or donated to, Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which includes Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary, Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre, Winsford. The Trust is also part of Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP), a unique local health partnership that provides a range of community health services for people across South Cheshire and Vale Royal.
MCH Charity supports patients, their relatives and friends, staff and local businesses and organisations to raise money for the charity. All the money we raise is spent to enhance and improve the care and experience that people receive when using Trust services. We purchase state-of-the-art equipment, additional comforts and fund enhanced training for staff.
The charity works closely with the Trust to make sure that all specialities are supported to spend every penny of the money raised on items that will directly improve patient care.
Lost Little Ones is an appeal to provide the funds to create a dedicated suite and attached outside space on the labour ward at Leighton Hospital for bereaved parents. The suite will allow parents to stay together for a few hours or days with their baby in a comfortable, non-clinical environment and provide outside space where families can relax in the fresh air and spend quiet time together away from the rest of the ward.
