Police investigating a series of assaults on a woman in Macclesfield have charged a 51-year-old man.
Craig Vernon, from Pickford Street in Macclesfield was charged with three counts of assault, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour, two counts of intentional strangulation, sexual assault on a female, and criminal damage.
The incidents occurred between 1st June 2024 and 11th January this year.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on 13th January.
He was further remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on 10th February.
