A man has been charged in-connection with the kidnap of a child in Bollington.
Curtis Watson, from Macclesfield, was arrested on Water Street at around 4.30pm on Friday 20 March.
The 28-year-old has since been charged with kidnap.
The charge relates to a nine-year-old girl kidnapped from Palmerston Street on the afternoon of Friday 20 March.
The child did not require hospital treatment and is now safe and well.
Watson has been remanded into custody and is set to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on Monday 23 March.
