Officers are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a serious collision near Macclesfield.
At 1.15pm on Thursday 11th April police were called to a collision on the A537, Buxton New Road near to the Cat and Fiddle.
Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a beige camper van and a blue Suzuki motorcycle.
The rider of the bike, a 70-year-old man, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to the Royal Manchester Hospital by air ambulance; his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The occupants of the camper van, a 60-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman, were uninjured.
Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
