Police are investigating a suspected arson at an address in Birch Gardens in Sandbach.
At 2.35am on 19 March police were called to assist Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service following reports of a fire.
The occupants, a man and a woman, were in the address at the time, and were taken to hospital to be assessed for possible smoke inhalation.
A joint investigation by fire and police is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
