Sandstone Care Group hosted a spectacular 1940s-themed “Victory Ball” on the 18th September, at Chester Town Hall, in support of Help for Heroes, their chosen charity of the year.
The event drew an overwhelming response from the local community, raising an impressive £10,676 on the night. This, combined with the £3,494 raised throughout 2024, means Sandstone Care Group has already surpassed its ambitious £10,000 fundraising target for the year.
The evening was full of entertainment and laughter, including surprise guest impersonators Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine, Princess Elizabeth, as well as a lively appearance from the Chester Town crier.
Guests enjoyed live music, dancing, and an exciting raffle and auction, made possible by generous donations from sponsors of the event.
James Parkin, Director of Sandstone Care Group, expressed his joy at the event’s success, stating:
"I am absolutely delighted with the incredible success of our charity ball, raising over £10,000 for Help for Heroes, our chosen charity of the year. The generosity and support from everyone who attended and sponsored the evening has been overwhelming, and we have made a significant contribution to Help for Heroes. It has been heartwarming to see our community come together for such a meaningful cause, and I’m truly proud of what we’ve achieved together."
Despite exceeding their £10,000 target, Sandstone Care Group is committed to continuing their fundraising efforts throughout the remainder of the year to further support the vital work that Help for Heroes provide veterans and their families in the UK.
The organisation extends its sincere thanks to everyone who attended, as well as the companies that sponsored the event and contributed prizes for the raffle and auction.
