Knutsford’s walking food tour, Taste Knutsford, is returning in July 2021.
The tour showcases the best of Knutsford’s culinary offerings with guests walking around Knutsford tasting a variety of foods from brunch, charcuterie, ice creams, chocolate and sorbet, tapas through to afternoon tea and gin. The tour lasts approximately 3 hours and is led by either Lucy Farnon, Nicola Arnell, or Colette Clarke. All three are local residents, knowledgeable and huge food fans.
Sandra Curties, Town Centre and Marketing Officer for Knutsford Town Council said, “Our last tour was early March 2020 which, to be honest, seems a lot more than just over a year ago. We are planning the tours return in line with the government’s roadmap out of lockdown and in any case all our tours will be fully compliant with whatever covid regulations are in force at the time. Our venues can’t wait to get involved again – the tours are a lovely and sociable way of showcasing both our hospitality venues and Knutsford as a whole”.

New to the tour is Cheshire Quality; owner John Paul Jeffs said, “We are delighted to join the Taste Knutsford tour and invite tour guests to our little corner of King Street. We are the home to the best Cheshire producers and artisans and know our chocolate tasting will go down a treat.
Copper 29 is also new and will be offering ‘a tapas brunch’ or canapes and fizz. Vicky Assinder of Copper 29 said, “We opened in March 2020 and were so looking forward to take part in all the events Knutsford is famous for and at last we can! We are looking forward to meeting and chatting to tour guests and giving them a flavour of Copper 29”.
Everyone who had a previous tour cancelled and did not opt for a refund at the time has been contacted and tour dates advertised on the website are now open for anyone to book. Private tours for 8 or more can be arranged by contacting sandra@tasteknutsford.co.uk People can book with confidence as in the event of a tour being cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions a full refund or voucher will be issued.
