A 17-year-old boy has been charged after a machete and a lock knife were seized by officers following a stop and search in Macclesfield.
The teenager was arrested in Jordangate at around 6.30pm on Monday 7 December.
He has since been charged with two counts of possession of a knife in a public place.
The charges relate to a stop and search in Jordangate that night.
The boy, who is from Altrincham in Trafford, Greater Manchester, has been released on conditional bail.
He is set to appear at Stockport Youth Court on Wednesday 23 December.
