Detectives investigating the supply of illegal drugs in Winsford have charged two people.
At 11.40am on Friday 8th November, officers Northwich Proactive CID officers arrested a 44-year-old woman at a self-storage unit on New Road, Winsford, as part of an ongoing investigation.
A search was subsequently undertaken on the unit where officers recovered approximately £43,500 of class A drugs (cocaine and heroin).
A 33-year-old man was also arrested nearby in relation to the incident.
Following questioning, Iain Alexander, 33, of Robinson Lane, Winsford, and Helen Reynolds, 44, of Ledward Street, Winsford, have both been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
The pair have been remanded in custody and are set to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court later today, Monday 11th November.
