An address in Winsford which was involved in anti-social behaviour has been shut down by local officers.
A closure order for an address on Barton Court was granted at Crewe Magistrates court on Wednesday 27 July 2023.
This comes after officers from the Winsford Beat Management Team provided evidence of a sustained period of associated anti-social behaviour (ASB) by the occupant.
The closure will last for three months and will be reviewed after this period.
During that period the occupant, a male aged 41 years will need to find alternative accommodation.
PC Wayne Thomas said:
“The closure was obtained with the assistance of the local community and the closure will provide welcome respite to the wider community.
“I hope that this closure will serve as a warning that people who choose to behave in this way can lose their homes as a consequence of their actions
“The ASB closure is a stand-alone order which is just one of the tools which are being used by Cheshire Police to tackle criminal activity within the community.
“I would urge anyone who has concerns about ASB-related issues to please report it to us and will do everything we can to tackle it.”
Anyone with concerns about ASB in their area is asked to report it to Cheshire Police via:
