Detectives are appealing for information after an ATM was attacked outside a post office in Crewe.
At around 4.15am on Friday 15 March offenders targeted the cash machine on North Street and stole a large amount of cash.
A blue or black car then drove away in the direction of Leighton Hospital.
Detective Inspector Claire Jesson, of Crewe Local Policing Unit, said: “Our investigation is currently in the early stages and officers remain at the scene while we continue to establish the circumstances.
“As part of my investigation I am looking to trace a blue or black estate vehicle which was seen driving in the direction of Leighton Hospital and may have been abandoned close by. If anyone has any dashcam footage or information which could help please come forward.”
