Officers are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a fail to stop collision in Knutsford.
At 3.50pm on Tuesday 25 October, a man wearing an illumines yellow top, was cycling along Ladies Mile when he was clipped from behind by an unknown vehicle.
As a result of the collision the cyclist, a 50-year-old man, fell to the floor sustained a serious injury to his wrist. His bike was also severely damaged.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
Officers are now appealing to the public to come forward with any information they feel may assist with the investigation.
Police Constable Rachel Parr said: "Ladies Mile is a busy road which is often used as a cut through by motorists travelling through the Knutsford.
“At the time of the collision both the cyclist and the car were travelling southbound, towards Northwich Road.
“As part of our investigation, we are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident or anyone with dashcam footage of the collision or of the vehicle involved.
"The same goes to anyone with any CCTV footage which may aid to the investigation.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the driver of the car involved and urge them to come forward so we can establish exactly what took place."
