Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following reports on an indecent exposure in Hartford.
At around 6.30am on Friday 11th July, the victim was walking along the towpath at the side of the River Weaver, near to the Blue Bridge, when she witnessed a man exposing himself.
The man was described as a white, in his late 30’s and around 5’ 8” tall. He was described as wearing all dark clothing.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are urging anyone with any information to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Kate Palin, from Northwich CID, said:
“While the offender didn’t make any attempt to approach the victim, they were understandably shocked by what they witnessed.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information about the incident to come forward.
“The same goes for anyone with any video footage that may aid our investigation.
"Similarly, if you have seen similar incidents in the area, but haven't reported it to police, please get in touch.
“Everyone has a right to feel safe when they go for a walk on the riverside. We will not tolerate this behaviour, and again would urge anyone with any information to come forward.”
