“Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we’re doing all we can to establish exactly what took place.
“At this stage we have been unable to trace the occupants of the vehicle and as part of our ongoing enquiries we’re keen to hear from anyone with any information.
“We’re also asking residents on Chester Road, Beach Road, and Moss Lane to check their CCTV and video doorbells to see if they have any footage which may aid our investigation.
“The same goes for anyone who was driving in the area between 8pm and 9pm and may have captured footage of the vehicle involved.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the occupants of the vehicle to get in touch directly so we can clarify what took place and confirm that you are all safe and well.”
