Detectives are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a robbery in Northwich.
At around 3.20am on Sunday 23 February a 19-year-old woman was walking up Castle Hill, near to Kingsley Carpets, when an unknown man approached her from behind and stole her handbag.
The man, who is described as white and around 5’ 5” tall, then ran off in the direction of Castle Court. He was wearing a khaki zip up jacket.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information which may aid the investigation.
Detective Constable Neil Wharmby from Northwich CID said: “The victim in this case was left shaken as a result of the incident and we are doing all that we can to trace the person responsible.
“Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation I’m keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and believes they may have seen anything suspicious.
“The same goes for anyone who was driving on Chester Road and believes they have witnessed the incident or have any dashcam footage which may be relevant to the investigation.”
