Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a pedestrian collision in Macclesfield.
Shortly after 7pm on Thursday 18 November, police were called to reports of a collision on Cumberland Street, near to the Co-op store.
Officers attended the scene and found there had been a collision between a white Mercedes box van and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, an 82-year-old man, sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital; his condition is currently described as life threatening.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
No arrests have been made and enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing. Anyone with any information or video footage which may aid the investigation is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 or visit:
