Police have released CCTV images of two men they are looking to speak in relation to a hate crime in Northwich.
On Saturday 5 December officers became aware of an incident at Asda Barons Quay where a woman was racially abused by a group of three unknown men.
The incident occurred at around 5pm on Saturday 5 December while the victim was shopping with her younger sister.
Following the incident, two of the men were removed from the store by security staff.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers have released CCTV images of two men they are looking to speak to as part of their enquiries.
Police Constable Kev Anderson, of Northwich Beat Team, said: “We take incidents of this nature extremely seriously and will not tolerate hate crime within our community.
“This investigation in relation to this incident are ongoing and we are following a number of lines of enquiry, including CCTV analysis and speaking to local residents.
“As part of our investigation I am keen to speak to the two men featured in the CCTV image as I believe that they may hold vital information. I urge the men, or anyone who recognises them, to contact the team here at Northwich on 101 so we can progress with our investigation.”
