Police are appealing for information from the public to help find a missing woman from Congleton.
Elaine Tonge was last seen at around 8am today, Tuesday 28 March, in the Swaledale Avenue area.
The 69-year-old has dementia and can become confused.
Elaine is white, is short and has dark greying hair. When she was last seen she was wearing a blue hooded fleece top and blue jeans with a black leather rucksack style handbag.
Officers are urging anyone who sees Elaine or has any information regarding here whereabouts to come forward.
Sergeant Dan Clarke said: “There are several officers out searching for Elaine and we are increasingly concerned for her welfare. She is an avid walker and may have travelled a fair distance away from where she was last seen.
“I would urge anyone who may have seen Elaine or has any information in relation to her whereabouts to please get in touch with us.
“The same goes to anyone who was in and around the Swaledale Avenue area this morning who has CCTV or dashcam footage.
“I would also ask residents living in the area also urged to check any sheds or outbuildings in case Elaine has taken shelter.”
Anyone with information or footage that may help officers find Elaine is asked to call Cheshire Constabulary immediately on 101, quoting IML 1510561.
