Barnaby Festival will be back in 2022 – this year we will celebrate Barnaby with a collection of very special midsummer events.
Firstly, we are delighted to announce we are working with our new Programme Director, Carol Whitehead, FRSA. Carol is a communications expert with over twenty years in publishing and brand promotions and organising events of all shapes and sizes from 8 to 8000 in the U.K. and overseas. She also leads the Zebra Partnership, an agency bringing together talented freelancers, and is an advocate of women’s rights, equality, diversity and inclusion.
Carol will be overseeing the delivery and promotion of the programme for 2021, and is also working with us to develop Barnaby Festival’s plans for the future. You can follow Carol on Twitter on @Zebra_Carol and email her at Carol@barnabyfestival.org.uk
Secondly, we are thrilled to announce that we have a number of new trustees who have joined the Barnaby board after our recent recruitment call. With a fantastic range of skills and expertise, enthusiasm and energy, our trustees are crucial in supporting Barnaby, and ensuring we get to invite everyone to come out to play for many years to come. You can read about our trustees here
Lastly, but not leastly, under the stewardship of Carol and our wonderful trustees, we are over the moon to announce the new brand of Barnaby Bright!. Inspired by the traditional poem ‘Barnaby Bright! Barnaby Bright! Longest day and shortest night!’ which featured on a postcard as a longer poem by Nick Asbury during the very first Barnaby Festival,
Barnaby Bright! signals our programmes and events in between full-fat festival years. #barnabybrightevents
