A 22-year-old Birmingham man has been sentenced after being found guilty of selling drugs in Crewe.
Mohammed Musaid Ali, of Benton Road, Birmingham appeared at Chester Crown Court on 22 July where he was sentenced to six and a half years in prison.
He had earlier been found guilty of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, being concerned in the supply of cocaine, being concerned in offering to supply heroin and money laundering. The offences occurred between 1 May 2023 and 30 November 2023.
The case against him came about following an investigation into drug dealing in the Crewe area, where a phone linked to county lines was connected to Ali. Further enquiries led to officers executing a warrant at his address in Benton Road on Thursday 8 February where Ali was arrested.
Several mobile phones were seized during the warrant, including two iPhone's belonging to Ali. Messages from the phones were linked to the graft phone as well as further evidence of the supply of class B drugs.
Drug paraphernalia including snap bags and a black royal bag containing quantity of cash were also located.
The cash has subsequently been counted with a value of nearly £14,000.
