Bosley Tug of War Club will this weekend be hosting its annual open tug of war tournament, which will take place at Glebe Farm in Astbury on Sunday 7th April.
This event is part of the Tug of War Association's annual fixture list and promises to be a day of exciting competition for participants and spectators alike.
The competition will feature competitions for men's, ladies', mixed, and young farmers' teams. Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their strength, skill, and teamwork in this thrilling sport that has been enjoyed for generations.
In addition to the tug of war competitions, there will be a range of activities available at Glebe Farm. Visitors can explore the farm shop, browse the shops and studios, enjoy tractor rides, and even feed the animals. This makes the event perfect for families and individuals looking for a fun and unique day out.
The competitions will kick off at 11am and run throughout the day, ensuring there is plenty of excitement for everyone to enjoy. Entry to the event is free for spectators, so it's an opportunity not to be missed.
Alan Knott, a spokesperson for Bosley Tug of War Club, said:
“We are thrilled to be hosting our annual tug of war competition at Glebe Farm again”
“This event is always a highlight on our calendar, and we are excited to welcome both seasoned and new participants to Glebe Farm. We have worked hard to create a fun and inclusive day out for everyone, and we can't wait to see everyone there."
“After having pullers go abroad to the world championships last year and come home with some medals, we are looking forward to seeing what we can do”
