Officers investigating reports of an assault in Congleton are appealing for witnesses, or those with any information, to get in touch with them.
At around 9.25am on Sunday 2 June, it was reported that a 65-year-old man was driving along Mill Street, onto Swan Bank, Congleton, when two unknown men approached and one of them kicked the vehicle.
The victim pulled over to check for damage, at which point the two suspects assaulted him to the face and body. He was taken to hospital for treatment with minor injuries.
Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident and officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened to get in touch with them.
They have also released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
PC Jardine said:
“We would urge anyone who has any information which could aid our investigation to get in touch with us. The same goes for anyone who witnessed what happened or may have any footage.
“We are also asking anyone who recognises the two men who are pictured in the CCTV images to contact us, as we believe they may hold vital information."
