To coincide with the easing of government restrictions, Cheshire East Council is now offering a click and collection service at five of its asymptomatic (for those people without Covid-19 symptoms) testing sites.
Residents can now visit testing sites in Macclesfield, Prestbury, Sandbach, Congleton and Middlewich to collect pre-booked lateral flow tests (LFT) to undertake at home.
The existing Cheshire East Community Test Sites Appointment System now offers an option to collect 7 or 14 LFT kits to take at home, following the expansion of the Community Testing programme and to increase the supply of self-test kits. Click and collect home LFT kits are available up to 14 days in advance, where slots are available.
Dr Matt Tyrer, Cheshire East Council’s director of public health, said: “Offering a click and collect service at our testing centres is another part of our collective effort to reduce the amount of people unknowingly spreading the virus.
“As government restrictions ease, the council is continuing to focus on offering more ways for Cheshire East council residents to access free and regular rapid lateral flow testing at locations throughout the borough.”
