Congleton In Bloom are set to host the second Town Tidy Day of 2023 on Saturday 4 March meeting at the Community Garden, Lawton Street from 10am-12noon.
The community clean up days were a fantastic success last year which the In Bloomers wish to continue throughout 2023. There will be a variety of activities for handy helpers to join in with.
Residents of all ages are invited to come along; the group welcomes previous litter pickers and looks forward to meeting new helpers too! Volunteers can do as little or as much as they want during this time, as well as litter picking some of the activities will include cleaning litter bin, cleaning road signs and other street furniture.
Congleton In Bloom Chair, Cllr David Brown said: “Congleton is a pleasant place to live but these dedicated Tidy Days really do make a difference. The organised action days help to make areas across our town cleaner and greener. Not only are they good for the environment, it’s a fantastic way to meet new people and improve fitness levels at the same time. We have a busy year ahead as Congleton has been selected to represent the North West region in the North West in Bloom Finals in the Large Town category! So we are trying to get as many members of the public to join in the Town Tidy events throughout the year.”
