The Chief Executive Officer of Morrisons Supermarkets has congratulated Susan Maydew on achieving 35 years of outstanding service at theCongleton store.
Sue says:
"I have always kept my focus on colleagues and my customers, many of whom have become friends’’.
‘’Since the Congleton store opened as Safeway 35 years ago there have been many changes, including ownership and new technology.
Changes in workplace technology is amazing, until it goes wrong! I was not at all a ‘tecky’ person, but I am now.
As Team Leader when systems go down you have to quickly fathom it out yourself or phone the supplier who can be anywhere in the world.
I have supplier friends in Croatia. They recognise me when I call with a problem and talk me through it which is quite nice, as I learn a lot.
But technology can also be hard work. I average 16,000 steps per shift mostly on technology related issues. But it keeps me fit’’.
Sue was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a 35 Years Outstanding Service Badge.
