Detectives investigating a sexual assault in Handforth have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
On Saturday 5 August, police received reports that a woman had been sexually assaulted by two unknown men in Handforth.
The incident is reported to have taken place sometime between 9.45pm on Friday 4 August and 1am on Saturday 5 August at an address on Finsbury Way.
Officers are now appealing for information and have issued an image of a man that they would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.
Detective Sergeant Thomas Vass said:
“I know that this incident will be of great concern to the community, but I can assure you that we have been doing all we can to trace the men responsible.
“We have a number of enquiries ongoing and as part of these we are now appealing for assistance to identify the man in the CCTV as we believe he may have vital information to assist us with our investigation.
“I would also appeal to the man himself to please come forward. Anyone who believes that they have information about the incident or who may have been in the area at the time and has not yet spoken to police to please do so by calling us on 101.
