A Cheshire East Council borough by-election is taking place on 6 May, to fill a vacancy in the Crewe West Ward.
The election is taking place on the same day as the election for the role of Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
There are also a small number of town and parish council by-elections taking place, so you may wish to consider standing for election and help to influence local decision making in your community.
Details of the areas where town and parish by-elections are taking place can be found on the council's website
If you wish to stand as a candidate, you will need to complete a set of nomination papers.
To obtain the relevant forms and further details about how to stand as a candidate, please contact The Cheshire East Council elections team on 01270 685922.
Nomination papers must be delivered by hand and the deadline for them to be received at Macclesfield Town Hall is 4pm on 8 April.
Please don’t leave it until the last minute as you may miss out on the opportunity to take part and contribute to local democracy.
