East Cheshire Hospice has confirmed the return of its much-loved Pie and Pint fundraising event, taking place on Saturday 27th September 2025.
A favourite in the local calendar, Pie and Pint invites people of all ages to take part in a scenic 5K or 10K sponsored countryside walk through the beautiful surroundings of Macclesfield. Upon completing the route, participants will be welcomed back with a freshly baked pie and a pint (or soft drink alternative) and invited to relax and enjoy the lively event village.
The event will start and finish at Macclesfield Rugby Union Club, where attendees can enjoy live music, a pub quiz, fundraising games, and local stalls. The day promises a fun and engaging way to support a vital local cause.
Luke Hughes, Community and Events Fundraiser said:
“All the money raised from Pie and Pint goes directly towards helping East Cheshire Hospice continue to provide expert care, comfort and compassion to people affected by life-limiting illness. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, have fun, and support local hospice care. We look forward to welcoming both new and returning supporters.”
This will be the third time East Cheshire Hospice has hosted the event. After a break in 2024 to focus on Art Fair Cheshire, the team is excited to bring Pie and Pint back in 2025, now featuring both 5 and 10K routes to make the event more accessible and inclusive for all.
East Cheshire Hospice is currently seeking a main sponsor and a drinks sponsor to partner in delivering this popular event. Sponsorship plays a crucial role in enabling the Hospice to create a memorable experience for participants while ensuring funds raised directly support free, outstanding care for local people living with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Sponsors will benefit from extensive promotion before and during the event, opportunities for product placement, social media exposure, and complimentary tickets to participate. This is an excellent chance for local businesses to demonstrate community support while gaining valuable visibility.

Participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship or make an additional donation to help support the Hospice’s vital work.
Whether walking in memory of a loved one, enjoying time with friends, or simply supporting a local cause, Pie and Pint offers a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and make a lasting difference.
