Police officers have organised a sporting feast for 10 to 16-year-olds over the school summer holidays.
Run in partnership with Premier League Kicks and Crewe Alexandra Football Club, the free event involving football, rounders and rugby will see the young people of Sandbach, Middlewich and Holmes Chapel compete for the Salt Wars Cup.
It is open to anyone living in those areas.
The new initiative has been organised to help youngsters stay active and healthy and have fun during the school holidays and to strengthen relationships and build up trust between young people and the police, in a bid to reduce anti-social behaviour and future offending.
Salt Wars, named after the areas' salt industry heritage, will be held throughout August.
Children will compete against each other at Sandbach School on Thursday 5 August, at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School on Thursday 12 August and at Middlewich High School on Saturday 21 August.
Activities will take place from 10am to 4pm each day.
There will also be a celebration day for the young people to enjoy on Saturday 28 August, and the participants will each receive certified coaching, including from Crewe Alexandra FC's coaches, drinks and lunch.
They will also receive certificates and medals.
Each session, whether it be a football, rounders or rugby session, will consist of a warm-up, skills games and a match.
The registration deadline is Saturday 17 July.
