Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa announced in April that they will be partnering with East Cheshire NHS Charity over the next year and so far the team has raised over £1000 for the local NHS Charity.
East Cheshire NHS Charity is a local charity that works hand in hand with our incredible healthcare services to help them go the extra mile for patients, families and staff. The charity fundraising goes above and beyond standard Government funding and firmly believe that by working together, we can make our local NHS that extra special.
The Shrigley Hall team have been busy taking part in various fundraising activities since April, including a Longest Day Golf Day event in June, which was a huge success.
In July the team saw the return of the Shrigley Team Bake-Off. Many members got involved in the annual event, with Stuart (Leisure Manager) and Alex (Housekeeper) crowned Shrigley Master Bakers for 2023 with their winning white chocolate cookie dough blondie.
Joe Fleetwood, General Manager said:
“It was a pleasure to host both events. Some real creativity baking not only the cakes, but also out on the golf course! Lots of fun, so many of the team got involved. So very worthwhile for team building, but most importantly, to generate much needed funded funds for East Cheshire NHS charity. A big thank you to everybody who took part. Roll on the next event!”
The team have a packed diary with exciting events planned in for the rest of the year, including a staff hike climbing Snowdon in September.
Lily Preston, Fundraising and Events Manager at East Cheshire NHS Charity said:
“It’s great to see the team off to a flying start with the Longest Golf Day event and Shrigley Team Bake-Off. We’re so grateful for the team’s continued support and we’re excited to see what events they have planned for the rest of the year”.
