Officers from Macclesfield Local Policing Unit have charged a man in connection with shoplifting offences in Bollington.
Christopher Downes was arrested on Tuesday 8th April. The 61-year-old, of Bollington Road, was subsequently charged with theft from a shop and breach of a criminal behaviour order.
The charges relate to an incident that occurred in on Thursday 3rd April at a convenience store in Bollington.
Downes was remanded in police custody to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday 9th April.
