A 23-year-old man from Manchester has been arrested on suspicion of burglary after two car were stolen from an address in Alderley Edge.
The victim reported the burglary to police on the Wednesday morning (19 May). Detectives launched an investigation and made a number of enquiries in the area. That afternoon officers arrested the suspect and recovered one of the cars.
Enquiries are continuing.
DS Stephen Joyce said: “I’d urge anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area over the past few days, or anyone with dash cam or cctv that may help us, to contact us.
“Recent burglaries in the area will obviously cause some concern to residents, but I’d like to reassure you that we are working tirelessly to deter burglars, and are thoroughly investigating the recent incidents.
“I’d like to take the opportunity to urge residents to report suspicious activity to help us make the county a no go area for thieves.”
