A man has been charged in connection to a series of burglary and shoplifting offences in Northwich and Knutsford.
Jamie Clarke, of no-fixed abode, Northwich, was arrested on Thursday18 May.
The 35-year-old, has since been charged with –
- One count of burglary other than a dwelling
- One count of attempted burglary other than a dwelling
- One count of attempted theft from a vehicle
- One count of criminal damage
- One count of common assault
- Eight counts of shoplifting.
The burglary charge relates to an incident at Tesco Express, Chester Road on Monday 15 May.
The attempted burglary and attempted theft from a vehicle charges, relate to incidents at Riverside Trading Estate, Navigation Road, which also occurred on Monday 15 May.
The remaining charges relate to incidents which have occurred at retail stores in Northwich, Hartford, Davenham, Weaverham and Knutsford between Thursday 16 March and Tuesday 9 May.
Clarke has been remanded in police custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 19 May.
