Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage after a man was seriously assaulted in Winsford.
At around 5.10pm on Sunday 14 January, police were called to reports that a man had sustained serious injuries at an address on Wharton Gardens, Winsford.
On arrival, officers found that a 20-year-old man had suffered stab wounds; he was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital for treatment.
A 16-year-old boy and a 31-year-old woman, both from the Winsford area, have been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of section 18 assault.
Both suspects are currently being held in police custody and are assisting officers with enquiries.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident, with officers appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Superintendent Saf Ali said:
“This investigation is in its early stages and we’re doing all we can to establish exactly what has taken place.
“Initial enquiries suggest that this was a targeted incident, and as part of our investigation we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any video footage.
