The Mayor of Knutsford’s annual fundraising quiz took place last week, raising over £650 for his chosen charities.
20 teams took part in the fun pub quiz at on Thursday 1st February, with team Katy Colins and Friends winning the trophy, a round of drinks and a bottle of fizz donated by hosts The Angel.
Mayor of Knutsford, Cllr Peter Coan, said:
“Thank you to the teams who took part and helped raise over £650 for the mayor’s charities. A great night was had by all, the picture round, featuring some of Knutsford businesses was thoroughly enjoyed, if not challenging for some. A big thank you to the Quiz master – Civic Events officer, Gemma Jackson.”
Raffle prizes were donated by Kings Barbers, and Majestic Knutsford which contributed to the raffle being a great success.
The next mayoral fundraising event is the highlight of the mayor’s fundraising calendar, the Mayor’s Charity Ball which takes place on 22nd March at Cottons Hotel.
