Knutsford-based business The Tea Room is to host a Tea Dance on Friday 11th November to raise money for The Poppy Appeal.
The admission-free evening will involve dancing, tea, and cake plus a raffle the proceeds of which will go to The Poppy Appeal.
Sue Henry, co-owner of the King Street venue said, “We just hosted two highly successful teas with Paddington Bear for the younger generation, so we thought it would be a nice idea to do something for the older generation. We must stress that we are open to all music suggestions from any decade, so please do not be afraid to let us know your favourite tunes. You can even bring along your own vinyl records too. However, the emphasis is more on dance than disco!”
The afternoon starts at 4.30pm and finishes at 6.30pm and although there is no charge, due to space constraints, interested parties should contact The Tea Room direct to reserve their space.
Sue added, “Couples, groups and singles are all welcome. You do not have to dance you can just sit with a cuppa, enjoy watching the dancing, and the company of others. We see our customers as friends and anyone coming on this night is more than welcome. You could also push the boat out and dress up plus it should also be noted we serve beer, fizz, and wine!”
Anyone interested in attending should contact The Tea Room, on 01565 220010, or email:
