Three men have been arrested after a proactive stop check by officers in Handforth.
At around 8.40pm on Thursday 29 April officers stopped a silver Volkswagen Golf on Wilmslow Road.
The occupants of the car fled the scene but were detained by officers a short time later.
Following a search of the vehicle, a number of weapons and a quantity of drugs were seized.
Three men, two aged 19 and one aged 18, were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a Class B drug.
They remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
