Trentham has announced a full programme of entertainment and activity for their brand-new Christmas event.
A new evening ice sculpture trail will feature the chance to win a family membership to Trentham.
The festival features a stunning ice sculpture trail crafted by Liverpool’s Glacial Art Ice Sculptors who will be shaping traditional Christmas figures, and some clever interactive ones for the public to grab some frosty photo opps.
It's the first time the team has delivered an ice sculpture trail.
Kerrie Pope, Head of Events can’t wait:
“I can’t think of a better venue to show off the talents and skills of our ice sculptors than our stunning Italian Gardens.”
“Creative skills will be in abundance during our festival weekend, from the talents of the artisan crafts and food stalls in the Christmas Makers Markets to the musicians and performers, we think we’ve got the wow factor!’
From 10am until 4pm visitors can enjoy Trentham’s Christmas Festival daytime offer; artisan Makers Markets, fairground rides, live music from brass bands and choirs and festive food & drink and you may even catch our ice sculptors prepping for the evening.
As night falls, from 5pm until 9pm visitors can experience some extra special night time treats including a fabulous Ice Sculpture Trail. There’ll be live festive music too from Rachel Faith, local musician from Newcastle-Under-Lyme, who regularly performs at Trentham’s Summer Concerts in the 90’s and 00s band. Walk about entertainment from giant puddings, fairies, the Grinch and cheeky elves will also be entertaining the crowds, who can feast on festive food and drink and shop at stalls throughout the Italian gardens.
For any parents on the naughty list for not arranging a trip to Father Christmas, they needn’t worry, there’ll be a chance to say a quick hello and get a snap with him in the evening too!
Winning opportunity!
Evening Festival guests can be in with a chance of winning a Family Membership to Trentham as they explore the magical Ice Sculpture Trail. To take part, they simply guess how many baubles are frozen within the ice sculpture, and submit their answers via a QR code provided at the trail.
Guests can add some extra magic to their day with a private Igloo, which boasts panoramic views of the Italian Gardens. The Igloos are available for up to 8 guests, and inside will be a selection of festive treats and a complimentary mulled wine or hot chocolate for each guest.
