“Stars and hearts” have been created as part of an initiative by local charity EOLP to help people talk about their loss and bereavement.
Winsford Community Shed project joined forces with EOLP to create 200 wooden shapes to be used during EOLPs “Crafting Memories” sessions. The sessions encourage people to think about and share memories of people they have lost and reflect on their experiences of bereavement.
Catherine Morgan-Jones, Head of Public Health EOLP said “We are very grateful to The Community Shed Winsford, and their leaders John Mathis and Graham Hale, for supporting us in the creation of these wooden shapes. The Community Shed very generously used their own tools and time to create them for us. It’s been great to work with them.”
John Mathis from the Community Shed Winsford said “We’ve loved the challenge of creating these wooden shapes for EOLP. It’s been great to support the local community whilst having a bit of fun together.”
Crafting Memories Bereavement Sessions are available throughout the Cheshire area, to organise an event or book a place visit:
