Officers from Northwich Local Policing Unit have arrested two people following a drugs raid in the town.
At around 8am today, Thursday 18th September, officers executed a warrant at an address on Church Road.
While searching the property officers recovered a quantity of illegal drugs along with other drugs paraphernalia.
Two men, aged 32 and 39, were arrested at the address on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
The men remain in custody at this time where he is assisting officers with their enquiries.
Inspector Paul Heatley, of Northwich Local Policing Unit, said:
“Today’s warrant is part of our ongoing efforts to tack the supply of illegal drugs in the Northwich area and I hope it provides reassurance to local residents.
“Drugs have a hugely detrimental impact on our communities, causing widespread misery. As such, cutting off supplies of illegal drugs and removing dealers from our streets is of paramount importance.
“Information from the public is vital and I’d urge anyone with any information in relation to drug-related activity in their community to get in touch."
